INSTRUCTOR & DIRECTOR
The Chief Instructor is Sensei Mike Marshall, Yondan, 4th degree black belt and father of four.
Sensei Michael Marshall has been training in martial arts since 1989. He is a 4th degree black belt in International Meibukan Gojyu Karate. Sensei Mike received his first degree black belt October 6, 1995 at the age of 19 under Sensei Steven Picotte, (Canada Goju Karate Association). Sensei Mike continued his studies under his father Sensei Kim Marshall when the family moved to Winnipeg in 1993 until his father's passing on October 2nd, 2016. Sensei Mike Marshall is a devoted husband and father of four children.

While living in Sakado, Saitama, Japan from 2000 to 2003 Sensei Mike studied Takeda Ryu Nakamura Ha, Iaido and Aikido with Okuden Shihan Masayuki Toyoshima. He has a Shodan black belt ranking in both Iaido and Aikido. Sensei Mike Marshall has trained with and has been taught by some of the very best karate-ka such as Master Yagi Meitatsu Sensei, 10th Dan, Hanshi, Honorary Chairman of the International Meibukan Gojyu-ryu Karate Association; Akihito Yagi, 8th dan, Kyoshi, President of the International Meibukan Gojyu-ryu Karate Association; William Hind, 8th dan, Kyoshi, President and Chief Instructor of the Canada Gojyu Karate Association; Ken Harris, Renshi, (CGKA); Stephen Picotte, Renshi, (CGKA); Hing Poon Chan, 7th dan, Kyoshi, Gloucester Traditional Karate Association; Steven Radulovich, 6th dan, Renshi, Riji-cho, Honbu-cho. At the Meibukan Gojyu Karate Winnipeg Dojo, all assistant instructors training with Sensei Mike Marshall are qualified dan ranked karate-ka.
